This economical solar powered car operates on either sunlight or a rechargeable AA battery.

In direct sunlight, the panel will produce 3 volts of electricity. This car has 3 modes of operation. In the first mode, the car is powered directly by the solar panel. In the second mode, the solar panel will charge 2 AA NiMH batteries using the solar panel. In the third mode, the car is powered by the 2 AA NiMH batteries.
